Installation requirements

Positioning

It is imperative that the flows pass through the DETOXIO™ to be filtered.

Administration

The administration of the DETOXIO™ requires an IP address. This address can be retrieved via a DHCP server or configure remotely by Serenicity support.

VLAN

The DETOXIO™ is compatible with VLANs (802.1q). The default VLAN (usually VLAN 1) must be enabled in order to allow bridge flows to exit.

IP Addressing Plan

The internal network addressing scheme must comply with the RFC 1918 standard so that the DETOXIO™ can correctly identify the flows from the LAN devices. The DETOXIO™ is compatible with IP protocol versions 4 and 6.

Firewall

Content filtering must be disabled for the DETOXIO™ administration address so that flows are not blocked by the FIREWALL IPS.

Network requirements

The IP addressing of the subnetwork where the DETOXIO™ is deployed must comply with RFC 1918.
