# Local network

Adding an IP to the lists **is your responsibility**.

{% hint style="info" %}
The devices synchronize the lists every half hour. It is therefore normal that the addition of an IP is not immediately reflected in the display of the flows.
{% endhint %}

**Lanlist**

The flows associated to the local IP addresses of this list will <mark style="color:red;">**not be filtered by the device**</mark>, nor <mark style="color:red;">**presented**</mark> in Serenicity Control and will be <mark style="color:red;">**definitely lost**</mark>. Adding an IP address in this list is your responsibility.

{% hint style="danger" %}
By adding an IP to this list, you expose your network to possible attacks.
{% endhint %}

**Wanlist**

The IP addresses in this list are considered local endpoints, in addition to the local addresses in [RFC1918](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc1918) (192.168.0.0/16, 172.16.0.0/12 and 10.0.0/8).

**Please configure all your non-compliant IP ranges there.**

{% hint style="info" %}
Endpoints in the wanlist can also be excluded from filtering and monitoring by entering them in the lanlist.
{% endhint %}
